Students with an interest in politics can become MPs within the TSR House of Commons where they can create, debate and vote on Bills with other MPs representing different political views. Bills then pass into ‘law’ just as in real Parliament.
The TSR laws passed aren’t real, it’s all done for a bit of fun, but thats not to say debate doesn’t get heated!
We currently have the following parties represented:
- Conservatives
- Labour
- Liberal Deomocrats
- Libertarians
- Monster Raving Loony Party
- Socialists
- An independent party
Every 6 months TSR House of Commons holds a General Election to determine the number of MP seats each party can have.
Any TSR member can vote to determine which party will have most seats and therefore most influence, and there’s currently an election taking place! Make your TSR election vote count
TSR parties generally carry the same morals and views as their real life counterpart but may enact things differently.
How can you get involved in all of this?
- Vote in the current election
- Become one of the 50 MPs with voting power within the TSR House of Commons
- Join one of the political parties, get access to their private forum and influence policy and debate
- Just come by the House of commons forum and get involved in the debate
